CONFERENCING

"Contrary to popular belief, there most certainly is an "I" in "team." It is the same "I" that appears three times in "responsibility." "

  1. another idea might be to get different teams of ELs to construct and demonstrate flipcharts using various of the strategies from

  2. Since we are thinking about dividing the Interactive board training into beginners and advanced... I thought that the advanced technical training could include a series of specific ideas rather than teaching tools use. For example giving a series of already made pages and have the participants guess how to make them.

  3. Perhaps even more productive would be to merge both ideas. Let's show them something already made and then have them create new flipcharts using the techniques shown. My humble opinion

  4. Hi guys!!! I'd like to thank you for creating this wonderful space to share ideas on the training to come. This is 100% teamwork!!!! Yeahhhh!!!
I checked the website that Lucy suggested and it's full of nice ideas that we can adapt to the training. I also found Steven's and Elda's ideas very useful since experienced ELs need more challenging tasks. I'll definitely take them into account. :) Let me know if you have any more nice ideas. I'm already working on a proposal. Have a good one!

  6. Another possible way to target our ELs' training needs is by asking them directly. Would it be possible to ask on-call teachers to give us some ideas/opinions/suggestions on this. They could reflect and send this by email during their on-call time. :) What do you think?

  10. Ithink it's a very god idea to ask ELs what they would be interested in. So Mari, I'll ask my on-call teachers to survey that!!!!!!

  11. Can't wait to check out all these websites!!! Thanks...
Following Marielas' request and looking for minimal logistic, I posted a big chart in the Educational Leaders Rooms that reads...
Educational Leaders! What would you like to see, learn and explore in an Interactive Board Training?
I also pasted two newsprints for ELs to write their comments.

  15. Ok Mariela,

These are the comments ELs from Sabana wrote on the chart.
1-We'd like to have a hands-on workshop. (in the lab)

2-We would like to be given a set of flipcharts to work on and modify them

3-We would like to learn how to use advanced options to crate games, interactive flipcharts and exercises

4-We would like to know how to solve technical issues and connections

    Thank you!
